WRITTEN SYLLABUS

OCTOBER

WEEK 1:
Topic: What is prayer?
Homework: Kids are to make a song, poem, game or book about prayer.
WEEK 2:
Topic: Importance of why I should pray?
Homework: Write why prayer is important to them. And pick one of the points and explain it more.
WEEK3:
Topic: Different methods of prayer
Homework: Kids are to create two prayer points.
WEEK 4:
Topic: Kahoot competition
Homework: Have a Kahoot competition on the topic of prayer.
SEPTEMBER

WEEK 1:
Topic: What is faith?
Homework: Who create a picture book of what faith is to them and write examples of what faith looks like. Must be done before Friday night and handed in, the latest will be Saturday morning.
WEEK 2:
Topic: How to build your faith?
Homework: Pick two scriptures and write what it means to them, and why the chose it.
WEEK3:
Topic: Character in the bible that showed incredible faith
Homework: Pick someone in the bible who showed faith and explain how they showed that faith and what good came with that faith.
WEEK 4:
Topic: Kahoot competition on faith
Homework: Kahoot competition, there will be questions about the characters the kids have learnt about.
AUGUST

WEEK 1:
Topic: What is peer pressure?
Homework: *Write what you learnt in the lesson, and a list of things peer pressure can lead too.
WEEK 2:
Topic: How to stand up to negative peer pressure?
Homework: Write a list of positive and negative peer pressure. And explain it in you own way.
WEEK3:
Topic: Recap on peer pressure.
Homework: Kahoot competition on peer pressure. Reward will be given out to the first runner up!!!!
WEEK 4:
Topic: Peer Pressure Practice
Homework: this week lesson kids will be doing a recap of the lesson. After kids are to choose whether they should perform a play or sing a song whatever gets the most vote is what the kids will be presenting the following Sunday!
JULY

WEEK 1:
Topic: The week of Who am I?
Homework: Who does God say I am?
WEEK 2:
Topic: The week of Who am I?
Homework: Why were we created? (Sing “I know who God says I am”).
WEEK3:
Topic: The week of Who am I?
Homework: Why is it important to say good words to ourselves?
WEEK 4:
Topic: The week of Who am I?
Homework: Recap. Have a booklet competition.
JUNE

WEEK 1:
Topic: The week of Character
Homework: Make a box full of characters and whatever character the kids pick, we discuss.
WEEK 2:
Topic: The week of Character
Homework: Choose a character, make a play and show what God did for them.
WEEK3:
Topic: The week of Character
Homework: Perform a song
WEEK 4:
Topic: The week of Character
Homework: Recap. Pick a character and teach the kids. Make a play.
MAY

WEEK 1:
Topic: What is prayer?
Homework: Prepare a Mother’s day song.
WEEK 2:
Topic: Singing & understanding the meaning behind the song.
Homework: Perform a song.
WEEK3:
Topic: The importance of prayer & how to pray.
Homework: What is prayer? Give and example of prayer and tell us why prayer is important.
WEEK 4:
Topic: A Play/Have a booklet competition on what they learnt the whole of May.
Homework: Recap. What have you learnt this month & what did you find amazing.
